Immobiliser or Electronic Faults After a Flat Battery
Modern vehicles run dozens of control modules that expect a stable supply. When voltage sags during a flat battery event or a struggling crank, modules can log faults, drop out of communication or refuse to authorise a start. The result looks alarming: immobiliser warnings, gearbox messages, ABS and traction lights, sometimes all at once.
The reassuring part is that most of these are consequences, not causes. Restore a solid, correctly charged supply and the majority clear on their own or after a straightforward reset. Chasing each warning light individually before fixing the voltage is the expensive way round.

Will these warning lights damage my car?
The lights themselves do not. They indicate modules that saw an abnormal supply. Once voltage is stable and correct, most stop reporting.
Why won't my key be recognised?
Keyless systems need a healthy supply to run the antenna and receiver. With a flat battery, the car may not detect a perfectly good fob. Most models have a marked emergency start position for exactly this.
Do I need a diagnostic scan afterwards?
Often not. If lights remain on after a correct battery and confirmed charging, then yes — a scan at a garage is the sensible next step.
